The chief state auditor on Thursday welcomed the Constitutional Courtroom’s „sensible choice“ in rejecting the Nationwide Meeting’s impeachment movement towards him.

Earlier within the day, the court docket rejected a movement impeaching Choe Jae-hae, chair of the Board of Audit and Inspection (BAI), over his alleged poor overview of suspected irregularities surrounding the 2022 relocation of the presidential workplace and residence.

Talking to reporters shortly after the choice, Choe stated he’ll make sure the BAI „capabilities correctly in order that the general public doesn’t have any issues“ when he returns to his duties.

„We’ll function the BAI with a concentrate on establishing self-discipline amongst public servants,“ Cho stated, when requested in regards to the company’s priorities.

Choe had been impeached by the opposition-controlled Nationwide Meeting in December. (Yonhap)
