The Worldwide Public Procurement Workshop 2025, co-hosted by the Public Procurement Service (PPS) and the Organisation for Financial Co-operation and Growth (OECD), attracted tons of of presidency officers and trade leaders from 10 international locations, PPS officers mentioned Thursday.

Through the occasion, the PPS shared Korea’s digital innovation efforts in public procurement and expertise in establishing the Subsequent-Era KONEPS, or the Korea ON-line E-Procurement System.

The state-run procurement company signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Public Procurement Authority of Turkey to boost public procurement cooperation.

The PPS held bilateral conferences with Canada, France and Norway to debate cooperation in strategic procurement and e-procurement, shared experiences in enacting its public procurement legislation and expanded change alternatives amongst suppliers.

PPS Administrator Lim Ki-keun mentioned this 12 months’s occasion holds nice significance because it serves as a platform for collectively exploring the significance of strategic procurement and digital transformation.

“We are going to proceed to strengthen cooperation with the OECD and superior international locations within the subject of procurement administration to make sure that Korea’s public procurement leads world requirements,“ Lim mentioned.

In the meantime, the MOU between the general public procurement authorities of Korea and Turkey renewed one initially signed in 2013.
