Police convene field commanders ahead of 2nd attempt at detaining Yoon

Police on Friday convened a gathering of discipline commanders forward of a second try at detaining impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol over his botched imposition of martial legislation.

The Nationwide Workplace of Investigation (NOI) ordered the leaders of the police investigation groups of Seoul, Gyeonggi Province and different jurisdictions within the capital space to assemble on the NOI headquarters to debate planning for the second detention try.

Investigators are believed to be getting ready to execute a court-issued warrant to detain Yoon on riot and abuse of energy fees.

Their first try and execute the warrant final Friday failed after Yoon’s bodyguards blocked them from getting into the official presidential residence in Seoul.
