President Yoon Suk Yeol’s authorized group in his impeachment case stated Saturday it has submitted a proper request to the Constitutional Courtroom, urging three justices to recuse themselves, citing issues over impartiality.
Yoon’s group stated it made a request Friday for the recusals of Justice Moon Hyung-bae, Justice Lee Mi-seon and Justice Chung Gye-seon over issues of potential political bias.
The group pointed to Moon, the appearing chief justice, of getting engaged in social media interplay with Lee Jae-myung, head of the primary opposition Democratic Occasion, prior to now, elevating suspicion of political impartiality.
